Airbus Fuel Testing Facility

Morgan Ashurst undertook the construction of the buildings and infrastructure of a Fuel Systems Test Facility which will allow Airbus UK to perform development and in-service tests on the fuel systems for their A380 and A400M aircraft and for future programmes.

This highly technical facility was constructed on an operational airfield. The project included relocation of essential radar and communications links and some of the site works were located in areas swept by the wings of taxiing aircraft. Design and construction were closely managed to avoid any impact on airfield safety and operability.
